Dear defendHER,

In the past month, a lot has transpired as we geared up to launch the safehouse. It feels akin to Christmas morning for us – settling into our on-site offices and being blessed with numerous generous gifts. Now, it’s time to take a moment to express gratitude and share the remarkable things that God has orchestrated.

Psalm 9:1 I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders.

“Onehope, we’re covering the cost of the privacy fence and security gate.”

“Onehope, we’d be honored to furnish this home.”

“Onehope, we’re dispatching mattresses, covers, sheets, and pillows.”

“Onehope, visit our office for any office supplies you need.”

“Onehope, we’d like to provide the paint.”

“Onehope, we’re sending someone for a quote to paint the home.”

As seen in recent news (click here), sex trafficking is a local reality. NC has also just moved to #9 for Human Trafficking. One of several national referring agencies, Rescue America states, “Since 2022 – YTD 2023 out of 1,826 survivor cases, 603 survivors had custody of children and were primary caregivers.” Our mission fills a critical need in our community.

Lord willing, we are set to open in February and need to raise $120k. This will provide the staff needed to serve two families for six months.  Will you consider a year-end gift, becoming a monthly donor to defendHER and join us in this vital mission?

Thanks to all who contributed on GivingTuesday! Whether through giving or other acts like prayer and service, you’ve made a difference!
