Here at Onehope Refuge, we are witnessing God’s faithfulness daily – through challenges that feel heavy, and victories that bring freedom. On tough days, we choose to put on a garment of praise, knowing He is with us through it all. Your prayers are our greatest support, and we cannot thank you enough for being a part of this journey. Giving Season Update 

We are so encouraged!!! 🙏 Thanks to your incredible generosity, our giving campaign has raised a total of $29,930! These funds will help sustain our current home operations and programming, while also advancing our vision for an expanded Onehope Refuge campus in/by 2026. Future property plans include four duplexes for independent living (each housing 2 families) and two administrative buildings (each housing 1 family). Ultimately, up to 10 families will call this new location “home.”

Thank you, Providence City Serve Volunteers!

Twice a year, Providence Church sends it’s members out into the community for City Serve: a day where volunteers “seek the welfare of our city through multiple, different service projects.” On 10/26, a crew of 20 (led by Kenny – thank you) arrived to Onehope bright and early. Together, we prayed, landscaped, planted, sorted clothing donations and then prayed some more. Their presence lifted the spirits of our families and was a true testament to God’s love in action. Thank you all so much.

A Lotta Love Gifted Trauma-Informed Room Makeovers

Picture this: You’ve courageously packed up your life, your children and a few belongings in search of a new story, a fresh start. You’ve been through so much. Your time to heal is now. You believe it. You feel it! You’re working through it. A Lotta Love – a nonprofit in Raleigh, NC – knows how important it is to create dignified, trauma-informed spaces that bring comfort, peace and a sense of security to survivors of sex trafficking. This past weekend, A Lotta Love revamped our children’s room, a mother’s room and our counseling space. Bright colors, thoughtful touches and an area that’s truly unique to each family. Fall Festival Fun at Baptist Grove Church

For some of our families, the Raleigh, NC community is new. New home, schools, friends, activities, physical/mental health providers, etc. Onehope Refuge is so grateful to local churches who open their doors with love (and non-judgement!) to all members of the community. On Halloween evening, Baptist Grove Church hosted a fun, safe, welcoming event for our kiddos. From delicious treats, to games, to bouncy houses, to music, to costume contests  … there was something for everyone. The kids loved it! And tell me … have you ever seen a cuter Rapunzel and Jojo Siwa?! 

Psalm 34:1-3 says, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.”
