#GivingTuesday Results!

TOGETHER – WE DID IT!!! We hit our #GivingTuesday fundraising goal of $50,000. Actually, we surpassed it and landed at $55,100. Thank you, thank you. 

This morning, we celebrated with a special breakfast at the safe house. Pancakes and bacon for the school-age kiddos and pureed fruits (their favorite bananas) for the babies. It felt so good to pause and reflect on your continued love and generosity. Everyone here at Onehope Refuge is deeply, deeply grateful!

Your contributions – for now – will primarily support day-to-day home operations through January 2025. Each month, it costs $25,000 to run Onehope Refuge. The bulk of this spend covers 24/7 staff, property rent and physical + mental health care for families. Each week, across the seven survivors currently in our care, we average nine critical care appointments. It’s a lot. Healing takes work and time and attention. We have learned to be patient (and trusting) of the process. God is surely moving in His perfect and steadfast way. 

Meeting our #GivingTuesday goal was a major milestone … A HUGE BLESSING. And yet, as the leader here, I equally acknowledge the need to keep pressing on … to continue sharing our ministry and creating impact for these incredible families.

Our greatest organizational needs continue to be:

➡️ General operating budget

➡️ Salary for +1 Care Director (owns care model + leads Home Coordinator Team of 8)

➡️ Salary for additional Home Care Coordinators (+52 hours/week)

The last two needs will allow us to expand programming and welcome additional families. As you know, we regularly receive calls from social agencies looking to place women + children. Two came in just this week. If you are able to give and have not done so, would you consider Onehope Refuge? Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference and allows our doors to remain open. We appreciate your thoughtful consideration.
